AWAKE! SLEEPING CHRISTIAN

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:".

There is a time to work and there is a time to rest; there is a time to sleep and there is a time to awake out of your sleep.

There are different types of sleep, there is the physical sleep and there is the spiritual sleep.

The Physical Sleep in itself is not bad but the question is:

Where are you sleeping? Which place and in whose house (territory) are you laying your head to sleep?

The Spiritual Sleep is the most dangerous type of sleep, it is so dangerous and can cost you your life both here and in eternity (Physical,Spiritual and Eternal death) if you don't wake up now!

Christian! Christian!! Why are you sleeping when you are suppose to be awake? Don't you know that you need to "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist steadfastly in the faith"... But how can you resist him when you are sleeping?

Awake! Sleeping Christian!!

There is so much danger in sleeping when you are suppose to be awake.

Don't forget that physical sleep can lead to spiritual sleep and death...

Christian, Where are you sleeping physically that can lead you to Spiritual sleep and eventually Spiritual death?

Remember Samson who went to sleep with an harlot. "Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her. And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him."

Have you forgotten that you are the devil's target and they are waiting for you at the point when you fall? have you forgotten that the enemy is laying quietly and watching for your weakest point to strike at you... Samson went to sleep with an harlot, what about you Christian, who are you sleeping with?...

Have you forgotten that your body is the temple of the Lord and you must not defile it

"What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"

Samson again slept on Delilah's lap in the camp of the Philistines (territory of the enemies) and there he lost his greatest strength and worse of all, the LORD departed from him without him even knowing and this later led to the lost of his life....

"Satan ruins men by rocking them asleep, flattering them into a good opinion of their own safety and so bringing them to mind nothing and fear nothing, and then he robs them of their strength and honour and leads them captive at his will. When we sleep, our spiritual enemies do not"- Matthew Henry Commentary.

Christian where are you sleeping? In whose camp are you sleeping? On whose lap are you laying your head? Have the Spirit of God not departed from you without your knowledge?... Check up Christian, lest you lose your life and destiny to the enemy all because you are Sleeping.

Christian! Are you sleeping or taking rest when you are suppose to be fighting on the battlefield?

Have you forgotten Sisera, who went to sleep in Jael's tent when he was suppose to be fighting and there he met his death "Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died."....

Remember, King David who was in his house at the time when kings went to battle and there he saw Bathsheba and lay with her,then one sin led to another (he orchestrated the killing of her husband)...

Christian don't you know that when you are in the wrong place at the right time, you are making yourself vulnerable to the attack of the enemy, when you are resting when you are suppose to be fighting, have you forgotten that the Christian life itself is a Warfare? Awake Christian!!!

Remember Simon Peter, who was sleeping when he was suppose to be awake praying even after Jesus had told him that "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:" When he was taken to the Mount of transfiguration where he was suppose to pray, Jesus found him sleeping..."And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation."...

Sleeping Christian, Awake....

You don't know what you are losing because you are spiritually asleep: Your spiritual senses becomes weak and deaden,

The attack of the enemy comes upon you unexpectedly,

You become blind and incapacitated, You are vulnerable to the Devil's trap, You become weak and faint,

You lose sight of Spiritual Revelations and Glory,

You miss spiritual encounters that should transform your life, etc...

That's why you need to awake out of your Sleep...

"But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him."....

Awake Sleeping Christian before it is too late...

"Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city:"...

"And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed."

Dear Lord, we know we have slept for too long now, we have slept in the wrong places and at the wrong time, we have left our duty post and lost sight of the fact that we are soldiers of the cross who must always be alert, we sought for rest and the enemy took advantage of us...Dear Lord have mercy on us and forgive us, help us not to sleep the sleep of death, help us to awake out of our sleep before it is too late...Hear our cry and awaken us Dear Father.... Quicken our inner man and Awaken us in Jesus Name..... Amen.🙏🙏🙏
