FAINT YET PURSUING

There are times in life when a man becomes weak and faint in the battle of life... But what happens when this situation arises?

This reminds me of the story of Gideon In the Bible, while in pursuit of the Midianites, he was faint yet pursuing. "And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them."

Dear Pilgrims, the road will not always be smooth and the battle might grow tougher as time goes on but do you want to quit and stop halfway or you want to keep pursuing and never give up till the battle is won?

Don't forget that it is the overcomer that will wear a crown. After the victory comes the celebration and elevation.

The times are looking tough and the battle is getting fiercer, the armies of darkness are fortifying themselves and not giving up but Christians (the armies of the Lord) seems to be weak and giving up now, do you know why?

• They have forgotten the Captain of the Host of the Lord who goes before them into every battle.

• They have relied on their own strength and power and have forgotten that the battle is not for the strong nor the race to the swift.

• They have forgotten the Divine injunction that says "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

• They have put aside their first love and commitment they made to the Lord and have forgotten the word of God that says "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

• They are getting distracted by the things of the world and have removed their focus from the things of God, remember "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth."

• They have forgotten that their life belongs to God and the Word of God that says "For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God."... If this is the case, your life is in God, is He not able to keep you and make you come out victorious in the battles of life?

Dear Christians, you are a soldier of the Cross and a soldier of Christ.... A soldier does not give up in the battle field.

There are times you might be so weak yet God still asks you to do something or gives you an assignment. He knows how you feel yet God still sends you.... OBEY, because it might just be a test for you just like Abraham... After the test comes the blessings. Don't worry He will strengthen you.

Arise, put on the whole armour of God again. Don't give up, the battle is not over, endure hardness as a good soldier of Christ, there is surely a reward if you will endure till the end. His Presence goes before you to clear the way, just trust Him.

You might be faint but don't give up.... Be like Gideon....

FAINT YET PURSUING.

Shalom
