If only you could see

If only you could hear

If only you could feel

If only you could understand

If only you could look beyond the smiling face

If only you could look beyond the jovial voice

If only you could see the wish

If only you could hear the cry

Of a heart that longs to be loved

Of a child that wish to be understood

Of a tear that needs to be wiped

Of a wound that longs to be healed

Of a broken heart that needs to be mended

Of a beggar that wish he didn't have to beg

Of a civil servant that endures been insulted because he has no other choice

Of a poor home that has to give away a child or more for an house help with meager amount so as to meet the needs in the home

Of an orphan who longs to have a parent that cares and shows love

Of an house help who is being maltreated and wished she could be like madam's children

Of a wife who longs to be loved and cherished but is dying silently due to lack of these

Of a mother who has to do difficult task and go out of her way just to make sure her children get what they want and are happy

Of a husband who wants to be respected and appreciated for all he's doing for the family but gets none

Of a Father that lays works like an elephant but feeds like an ant just to ensure that the family has a better life

Of the one who hopes and cries silently in the secret that his prayers would be answered

If only there are voices to speak out and stand up for the weeping masses

If only there are shoulders who are willing to help lighten the burdens

If only in our little corner and our day to day living we are able to reach out and at least put a smile on someone's face

If only we can help someone and show that we care and spread happiness around the world
