IT SHALL COME TO PASS

It shall come to pass! It shall come to pass!! It shall come to pass!!!

Taking a second look at this phrase, it implies a whole lot of things. It is a statement that is mostly used in the Bible to prophecy about future events but this is a statement that plays out in our lives as humans almost everyday of our lives.

It shall come to pass....

Meaning:

There are situations and circumstances that will happen in our lives (Both good and bad), it will surely come but it will not remain forever, it shall pass.

It also means that no matter how long it tarries, it will come when it's time but when it comes, don't set your heart on it too much, don't let it weigh you down and don't get too carried away by it because it shall pass.

It also means there is a time appointed for everything in life, there are times you might need to take some decisions that are destiny related and it's like a mountain and like taking a camel through the eye of a needle, it's like the hardest thing you have ever or will ever do, don't worry because that time will surely come for you to decide but it will pass too.

What is that thing that you are holding on to and you feel you can never let go? Have you forgotten that you are human and you have no control over anything or anyone, because even your life has come to pass.

Is it riches, fame, wealth, popularity, ungodly relationship, ambitions and so on that you are holding on to and you place it as priority and you don't care about anything, you don't even care so much about God and the thing has become an idol in your heart (you may say how is it an idol in my heart?

Let me tell you, anything that you hold so dear to you and you find it so difficult to lay it down on the altar(i.e, To surrender it) or give it to God when He requests for it, that thing is an idol in your heart), don't forget, that thing too will surely come to pass. The word of God says that "Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven."

Are you going through a difficult time or situation, are there challenges all around and you feel like that is the end of the world? My friend, don't be dismayed or dejected because it has come to pass. It happened to Job but he knew that it is not going to last forever that was why amidst the problems, Job said this "If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come."... It has come but will soon pass.

Have you been disappointed, rejected and dejected and it looked like that is the end of life, like nothing good will ever come your way or you feel like there is no hope for you to get the best ever again; do this today, Stop this unscriptural and ungodly thinking, that is not what God is saying about you, it was a phase that came in your life and it must pass, so stop holding on to it, leave it alone, wipe your tears away, let it pass because the Lord says "For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant."

Now let's consider the generalized meaning of "It shall come to pass", it means that there is something that has been said concerning the future which will surely be fulfilled.

Have you noticed that almost all the "it shall come to pass" in the Word of God truly came to pass "And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the LORD of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap. And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho."

There are sometimes it will delay and will look like it will never come into fulfilment again, Have a little more patience, even though it tarries you have to wait for it because it will surely come to pass... "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

But there is One thing I know that will never pass away and do you know what that is?

IT IS THE WORD OF GOD.

It is the only sure thing that will never pass away, every word written there will surely come to pass (i.e, Be fulfilled)....

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

Dear Brothers and Sisters, it is time to change our attitude and mindset towards many things because it will surely come to pass. It is high time we fixed our heart and live by the Word of God that shall never pass away without being fulfilled and trust and obey every single instruction given therein because everything written in it will surely come to pass without any exception.

Once again, if you are going through hard times and difficult situations,

though you are blinded by tears

and confused by your fears

and your daylight has turned to night,

you maybe unaware

that there's Someone who cares

and HE'S leading you to the light; You are not alone, never alone.

So Hold on, stand tall,

HE won't leave you nor let you fall,

in your darkest night just remember, you are not alone;

It will come to pass.

Weeping may endure for the night but Joy will surely come in the morning because even the night HAS COME TO PASS.
