"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
A very popular scripture quoted by most Christian but it has become much easier to quote than to act on it.
THE WAITING PERIOD....
The waiting period is a very trying period, it is a period when your faith, conviction and all you ever stand for is tested and tried. It a time when you are passed through the fire for either of two things to happen: Either you come forth shining as gold when it is passed through the fire or you get burnt as the stubble leaving behind only ashes.
The waiting period is a time when Men of stature and substance are made, it is a time when you are broken and marred as a clay in the hand of the Potter and remolded as the Potter deems fit and your best is expressed when he is done. But the question is are you willing to surrender to the Potter to break you and mold you for God's glory to serve the purpose of God on earth?
The waiting period is a time of pruning and chiselling, it a time when your excesses are been chiseled out so that you can be fit for the building which God is constructing, so that you can be a lively stone... A lively stone is a tried stone, to be among the building of God, you must be tried... See this "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste."... He shall not make haste means you will go through the waiting period, you will wait for God to fulfill His promise to you.
Many of us has been robbed by the devil because of IMPATIENCE, it is a great weapon with which the devil has robbed many believers, families and ministries. He might make you believe that you are wasting time while waiting for God but it is a lie. A man of God once said something like this that in the kingdom of God, it is not only when you are running that you are making progress, Waiting is also making progress... Because in waiting you renew your strength, then you can mount up with wings as the Eagle, you can run and not be weary, you can walk and not faint.
Sometimes God will ask you to wait when it seems like your mate are running and some are even flying but God asks you to wait and you are not even permitted to crawl, you might not understand what God is doing, it will be painful and sometimes very frustrating but JUST TRUST GOD AND WAIT because "For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him."....
Yes, have you ever thought of this, what is the essence of running with others when you don't have enough strength to run? Have you forgotten that everyone's path is different? Why are you forcing yourself to be who God has not ordained you to be? Why are you exerting so much strength and energy when you can just wait on God to renew your strength to Mount up as an Eagle?
Don't you know that the Eagle was designed to fly with ease but when it's time for the Eagle to renew it's strength, it waits, endures the hardship, pain and struggle because it knows that when the process is over, it will come out Renewed and Stronger? If Eagles know this much, how much more we humans? What are you rushing for and what are you in a hurry to get? You might say time is not on your side but have you forgotten that HE that created you is not limited by time, HE is the ETERNAL God, HE is a God that restores time and gives speed... When God asks you to wait it is for a reason, He is preparing something great for you and investing something wonderful in you so that when HE is done and you take flight, you will be as a WONDER unto many.
Wait for God's appointed time, hear what Job said "If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come."... Your change will surely come but are you willing to pay the price of patience and wait for it to come?
When God gives you a promise, it will surely come to pass no matter how long it takes because GOD CAN NEVER LIE... "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."... Wait For It.
There is a dash (-) between the time of the Pronouncement of God's promise to you and the time of Manifestation and this dash is the " Process of waiting, the waiting period".
What you do during the waiting period can either allow the Pronouncement to come to pass or Mar and destroy your Manifestation.
Wait on God, He is never late, consider the case of Lazarus, Jesus came there 4 days after Lazarus had died, to human we will say HE came late but in God's timetable, HE came early because God is never late and when it looks to us like HE is late, watch out it is for greater glory "When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
The waiting period is a time of incubation for greater possibilities, it is a time when the Holy Ghost broods upon you like the Hen broods on her eggs for them to hatch into chicks... This process takes time but when the process is complete, the chicks are successfully hatched but in a case whereby an egg is taken away from the hen while brooding, it becomes useless because it cannot be eaten neither can it be hatched... Many believers have ran away from the brooding of the Holy Ghost, they have not endured the process and they run out when they are not matured enough to be hatched, they have broken away forcefully from the dealings of the Holy Ghost and now they have become useless both to God and to humanity.
As much as we emphasize the importance of waiting, we must also draw a line between Waiting and Delay so that the enemy will not succeed in cheating us by orchestrating delay for us all in the name of waiting, that's why we need the Spirit of God to give us the spirit of discernment so that we can be able to distinguish between the Waiting period and the Delay from the pit of hell that wants to hinder us from fulfilling our God given mandate.
Christians, Fathers and Mothers in the Faith, Upcoming young ministers, Pastors, Apostles, Reverend, Teachers, Evangelists, Prophets, Singles, Married, etc... This is a call to you to discern the period of waiting, a waiting period is not a waste of time especially when God permits it, know that it is for His Glory.
Don't rush because others are rushing, stick around God until it is your time (Sam Adeyemi).
Wait, be equipped, be strengthened, be fortified, be renewed, eat for the journey is far, it is not one that you can start and stop half way, once you take off, you don't stop until you finish the race. The amount of time God keeps you in the waiting room may be directly proportional to the weight of God's Glory you are designed to Express and Manifest. DON'T RUSH WAIT!!!
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;"...
God is not unrighteous or unfaithful, when HE says WAIT, you can rest assured that He is preparing you for Something Great and also Preparing something Great and Special for you..
"Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise."
Dear Father in heaven, thank you for revealing Your mind to us about THE WAITING PERIOD, Lord we come today to ask for mercy, some of us lacked knowledge about this period in our lives and it made us to take decisions that we are not suppose to take, it made us to unknowingly abort Divine Promises and manifestations in our lives. Dear God, we are sorry, please forgive us and restore unto us all that we have lost out of ignorance by Your Mercy, Give us the patience to WAIT ON YOU and to WAIT FOR YOU even as we go through life, I decree that the spirit of impatience is vanished out of our lives forever, I decree also that every delay that has been organized by the enemy and he is blindfolding us to think it is the waiting period when we are suppose to have started manifesting and showing forth Your Glory, let it be terminated right now in our lives, All that we need to get during the Waiting period that will carry us through for the journey ahead of us, please equip us with it so that we will not stop our journey halfway, While we Wait On You Lord, Please renew our strength and cause us to Mount up on Wings as Eagles and get to where you have designed us to get to and to accomplish all that you have written concerning us, thank you Father for answering our prayer, in Jesus Name I Pray, Amen. 🙏🙏🙏
